Sonshine is a listener-supported, community radio station — more than half of our annual income comes from our listeners! From turning up at our events to tuning in every week, we love the different ways you encourage the Sonshine family.

Over the last 12 months, we’ve done amazing things thanks to our Sonshine family, who donate sacrificially throughout the year to support us. Here’s a snapshot of what we’ve achieved, run, or participated in, thanks to your generosity!

Heart for the Homeless

Sonshine listeners donated over 8,200 items to help those sleeping rough in our community, including 240 sleeping bags, 1,000 pairs of socks, 1,400 toothbrushes and 900 warm clothing items.

Free Coffee Fridays

Approximately 300 coffees were given away as part of seven events at local schools, cafes, and in the community.

Watering Day

Sonshine listeners provided donations to build water wells for 22,800 people through Water for Africa, providing clean, safe drinking water for life!


Miracles Day

Sonshine listeners donated 1,379 sight-saving surgeries to people living in poverty.
